Eagle's Nest, Salt Mines, lake Königssee and Berchtesgaden - Winter Version

See all the Highlights of the Bavarian Mountains in one day.

We depart Salzburg and drive South towards the Bavarian Mountains. We start with the Eagle's Nest. Departing from the historical Obersalzberg we access the summit of the "Rossfeld" via the "Rossfeldhoehenringstrasse" (toll road), the other road right up to the Eagle's Nest is closed in winter. The "Rossfeld", a neighbour summit of the Eagle's Nest, offers a stupendous view across the Bavarian Mountains, the Salzburg Alps, the glacier Dachstein and the City of Salzburg.

We continue our travel to the Koenigssee (Kingslake). The crystal clear Koenigssee (Kingslake) is nestled in a deep valley enclosed between steeply scarped mountains dominated by the gracefully pyramid of the Watzmann. After visiting the lake it is time for lunch at the Bavarian Mountain Town Berchtesgaden before we will visit the Salt Mines there.
Complete full day tour to the Bavarian Mountains including historical Eagle´s Nest (neighbour summit), Berchtesgaden, the Salt Mines and lake Koenigssee (Kingslake).
